Applicants will have until Friday, November 3rd, 2023 at 10:00 AST to submit their applications. The draw will take place on Friday, November 3rd at 10:00 AST. The successful candidate will be notified by Friday, November 3rd at 17:00 AST. The successful candidate will have until March 1st, 2024 to purchase a mare. There are currently 5 trot slots available. Those unsuccessful in the slot draw will be placed on an also eligible list. Should a slot become available after March 1st, preference will be given to those on the also eligible list that have purchased an in-foal mare after April 1st, 2023. Please review the program criteria carefully prior to submitting your application. There have been changes to the program in 2023. Please disclose the names of all individuals in your business, stable, or farm entity as well as their addresses, emails, and phone numbers. All individuals named must be PEI residents and have their proof of residency submitted with this application to qualify for the program.

Acceptable documentation includes the following: RESIDENT: A resident of PEI is a person whose primary residence is on PEI or one who operates a farm resident to standardbred broodmares, such residency verifiable by such tangible evidence as Property Tax payment, employees, mares on site, etc
